Tonight we were incredibly proud to welcome the students and staff from Evans River K-12 School to Club Evans RSL to celebrate an extraordinary achievement – completing the 96km Kokoda Challenge.
This wasn’t just a weekend hike. It was the culmination of months of training, preparation, teamwork and determination, with the students pushing themselves physically and mentally to complete one of Australia’s toughest school endurance events. The Kokoda Challenge is built on the values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice, with teams working together to cross the finish line – because no one gets left behind.
Congratulations to every student, teacher and volunteer involved. You have done your school, your families and our community proud.
