78 players, 11 clubs & 20+ years of tradition – what a day for the Ladies Triples Tournament!

A great day of bowls in the sunshine today when we hosted the Ladies Triples Tournament with 78 competitors from 11 different clubs. This event has been running for over 20 years. Thanks must go to our sponsors: A Gentle Touch Funerals whose continued support allows us to hold these events. Thanks must also go to our wonderful volunteers who make the day a success.

Weekly comp results are in 🏌️ More players means bigger prizes – get your round in by Friday!

Results from our weekly competition, 5th to 10th. Although participation numbers were slightly lower than last week, it is encouraging to see golfers settling into the routine. Please note that increased participation directly correlates with higher prize money. This week’s competition is currently underway, from Sunday the 12th to Friday the 17th, for all interested participants.

So proud 🏆 Dean Noble is a Clubs NSW Heart of the Community Awards Finalist – well deserved!

Clubs NSW Club & Community Awards Finalist

We are incredibly proud to share that Dean Noble’s community story has been named a Finalist in the Clubs & Community Awards – Heart of the Community category 🎉

Dean’s recognition reflects the genuine impact he has made within our local community — particularly through his support of Camden Haven Community at 3 Inc., a charity providing weekly meals, connection and support to those experiencing hardship.

Since welcoming the group to Kew Country Club, Dean has gone above and beyond to ensure every person feels valued, supported and included. From opening indoor spaces during poor weather, to providing access to facilities, transport for those with mobility challenges, and ongoing hands-on support each week — his commitment has never wavered. His simple but powerful approach of always asking “How else can I help?” has made a lasting difference to both volunteers and those attending.

Dean’s leadership has created an environment built on kindness, dignity and inclusivity — strengthening not only the charity’s work, but the broader Club community as a whole. His efforts were further recognised when he was named a Patron of the organisation, a testament to the respect and appreciation he has earned.

We want to congratulate Dean on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of him and the positive, meaningful impact he continues to make every single week!

Awesome turnout @ Junior Stableford 🏌️ Great to see fresh faces & big smiles on the course!

Exciting results from our Junior Stableford Competition today, which drew an impressive turnout of juniors and families. Special thanks to the five talented juniors from Yass who traveled to join us, enriching the experience for all with fresh faces and new playing partners. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, and while we couldn’t accommodate everyone due to GA Handicap requirements, we encourage all junior golfers to take the opportunity to complete their three rounds of 18 and unlock their potential by gaining their handicap, setting themselves up for an even bigger and better experience next time.
