Round 5 ended in a tough 2*5–4*5 result but strong individual wins stood out ⛳ Home clash next!

Round 5 of our Men’s Major Pennant was played today against Royal Sydney at Royal Sydney.

Whilst the overall result didn’t go our way, with Woolooware falling short, 2.5-4.5 we had some great individual results. Kurt maintained his undefeated run, taking the final 3 holes to win 1up. Jake also extended his run to 20 matches without defeat, with a tied match. Andy Houghton stepped up to #4 this week and put on an impressive display to win 3&2.

The hospitality was elite, and all 8 of our team, including Dovey and were grateful to play and experience the new Gil Hanse redesign.

Next Sunday we play Royal Sydney at HOME. We must win to be any chance, but will need another result to fall our way. We’d love to see as many Members out supporting as possible. #wooloowaregolf #wp

B Grade still undefeated, C Grade are Final bound & Seniors holding strong ⛳ Great week of Pennant golf!

A Grade fought hard till the end, but went down 3-2 to Cypress Lakes at Kurri 🙃

B Grade remain undefeated this year with a good win against Denman at Maitland 💪

C Grade enjoyed the week off as they prepare to play in the Final next week at Paterson vs Kurri 🙌

Seniors enjoyed a game at The Vintage today and came away with a 1.5-1.5 draw against Murrurundi, keeping themselves in a strong position on the ladder ⛳️

Ladies play round 2 of their season tomorrow at Hunter Valley GC against Branxton, good luck! 🙏
