Although the extreme weather conditions presented challenges, our members and friends showed determination in participating in the morning tournament. This was followed with a lovely lunch (awesome Steve Paul – thank you) and an afternoon session expertly facilitated by Mikky and the other guy. Thanks Bruce and Mikky, you never disappoint! What a MASSIVE Australia Day Weekend at the Club! 🇦🇺
From Pistol Whip rocking the house Saturday night, to the legendary Issie Dye on Sunday, followed by plenty of laughs with Vanessa Larry Mitchell, and wrapping it all up today with Living in the 70s & 80s – it’s been an unforgettable few days of live entertainment.
A huge congratulations to Leonard, who took home our Australia Day Weekend promotion – a brand new paddle board and an esky full of beer! What a way to celebrate! 🍻🏄♂️
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Club. Your energy and support are what make weekends like this so special. We love bringing great live entertainment to our community and can’t wait to do it all again soon.

THE MENU:
Course One: A selection of three oyster shots served with caviar or Sesame-seared tuna tataki with wakame salad, coriander and ginger ponzu
Course Two: Roasted garlic and butternut squash soup with toasted pine nuts, crispy leek, garlic croutons and chives or Australian Wagyu meatballs with tomato concassé, rocket salad and grated Grana Padano
Course Three: Australian rack of lamb with pea purée, cumin-roasted heirloom carrots and confit tomato, finished with thyme jus or Maple-glazed suckling pork rack with parsnip purée, roasted mushrooms, cabbage and edamame bean mix, served with pineapple reduction
Course Four: Classic French crêpes Suzette with vanilla bean gelato or Warm chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream, cookie crumb and berry salsa

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our Bistro Supervisor, Nick Weaver, who has been named the Central Goldfields Citizen of the Year at today’s Australia Day Awards.
Nick’s tireless fundraising efforts — now exceeding $250,000 for the MDHS Oncology Unit — have delivered life‑changing services for our community, including the new mammography unit. His passion, drive, and community spirit inspire everyone around him.
