Sometimes the people who seem to be doing OK on the outside are the very people who may be struggling on the inside.
A smile doesn’t always tell the whole story. That’s why asking “R U OK?” and genuinely taking the time to listen can mean more than we realise.
This R U OK? Day, Wynnum RSL is coming together as a community to support suicide prevention and help remind everyone that no one has to face difficult times alone.
Join us on Saturday 12 September from 8am in the Wynnum RSL carpark for our R U OK? Day Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser.
Come along, grab a sausage sandwich, bring your family and friends, and most importantly, help us start conversations that could make a difference.
Every dollar we raise will go towards supporting suicide prevention and the important work of encouraging people to reach out, listen without judgement and be there for one another.
Because sometimes, a simple “Are you really OK?” can be the beginning of a conversation that changes everything.
