A ten-minute downpour couldn’t keep the Qld Taxi Bowls Club off our greens for long.
We loved hosting the Taxis for their championship day at the Bowlo. Everyone was back out on the green the moment the rain cleared, and play ran right through to the early afternoon with some seriously close finishes. Congratulations to Doug on taking out the B grade singles 26 to 22, and to John Lane, a very worthy runner up.
A big thank you to everyone who made it such a warm, easygoing day. This is what community bowls in Brisbane is all about.
If your bowls club or social group is looking for a friendly home green for your next event, we’d love to have you along. Give us a call or send us a message to chat about dates.
