Major Pennants 2026 is off and running!
~~~ Monash 3.5 – WGC 3.5 ~~~
On Sunday our boys travelled to Monash GC to open their compaign. Kurt Rugless lead us out at number 7 and pulled off a strong 4&2 win. After a couple of heavy losses in the middle of our order, Mitch Rugless steadied the ship with a clutch Par up 18 to win 2up. With the match in the balance, and crowd growing, Robbie Lancaster took his match up 18 all squared up. A solid Par was enough to seal another victory. In our #1 match, Jake Hallinan was in a tough fight that could have gone either way – after losing 16 and winning the 17th the match was AS. After his opponent narrowly missed his Birdie putt on 18, Jake had a tricky effort to Win, which came thisss close to dropping 🤏 (see video).
A great start to the season for us and we’ll hope to back it up with a win at home this Sunday, 930am. We’d love to see as many supporters come down as possible #wooloowaregolf #wp
