Kitchen CLOSED Jan 1-15 for new team & fresh menu – bar stays open, full dining will be BACK on Jan 16!

We’re excited to share that our kitchen will be temporarily closed from 1 January to 15 January 2026 as we welcome a brand-new kitchen team to the club.

During this time, the bar will remain open, with a small selection of food available.

Our new team will be getting everything ready and putting the finishing touches on a fresh new menu, designed to elevate your dining experience. The kitchen will reopen on 16 January 2026, and we’re confident you’ll love what’s to come.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. We can’t wait to welcome you back and introduce you to something truly special!

Congrats 2025 Junior Order of Merit winners ⛳ Lachie Mooney wins trophy, Axel Ross takes Cadet Champion!

Congratulations to all the 2025 Sunday Junior Order of Merit winners – proudly sponsored by the Woolooware Women members.
Lachie Mooney took out the Junior Order of Merit Trophy capping off a highly successful year of golf.
Axel Ross won the Cadet Champion Trophy.
Pro-shop vouchers were awarded to winners and place getters. It was great to see a number of parents sharing in the celebrations along with Club Captain Mitch Rugless, Vice Captain Trish Huthwaite, Women’s President Lynne Willis & Coach Adam Short.

South Pacific Carnival Bowls hits Oak Flats Dec 28–30 – 100 bowlers, top competition!

The South Pacific Carnival Bowls Tournament is Coming to Oak Flats!

Oak Flats Bowling Club is proud to once again be hosting part of the South Pacific Carnival for 2025, one of the Illawarra’s premier bowls events.

Taking place between Christmas and New Year, the Carnival will see bowlers from across the Illawarra and beyond come together for several days of high-quality competition and great club atmosphere.

Events hosted at Oak Flats Bowling Club:
• Sunday 28 December – Open Pairs
• Monday 29 December – Open Singles
• Tuesday 30 December – Mixed Pairs

Across the three days, we’ll welcome around 100 bowlers, with play beginning at 9:00am each day and continuing through until approximately 4:00pm. Competitors will play three games of sectional play daily, with winners progressing through to the knockout finals at Kiama Bowling Club, starting 31 December and culminating in the Grand Finals on 6 January.

This tournament has a long and proud history and continues to be a highlight on the local bowls calendar. We’re thrilled to be part of it once again and look forward to a fantastic few days of competition and camaraderie here at Oak Flats Bowling Club.

Good luck to all players, and we welcome members and visitors to come down and enjoy the action!
