St Patrick wasn’t even Irish – enslaved at 16, chose to return & shape Ireland ๐Ÿ€ Happy St Patrick’s Day!

๐Ÿ€ Did You Know?

St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, wasnโ€™t actually Irish!

He was born in Britain in the late 4th century and was kidnapped by Irish raiders at just 16 years old. He was taken to Ireland and forced to work as a slave for six years.

During that time he turned to faith for strength. Eventually he escaped and returned home โ€” but years later he chose to go back to Ireland as a missionary, helping to spread Christianity across the country.

Legend also says he used the three-leaf shamrock to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity.

Not bad for someone who started his Irish journey as a slave! โ˜˜๏ธ

Happy St Patrickโ€™s Day!
