Remembrance Day – Lest We Forget
Today, we pause to remember.
At the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month, Australians everywhere stop to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended our nation in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.
Remembrance Day is not just a moment in history; it is a living act of gratitude. Each poppy, each moment of silence, connects us to the stories of ordinary Australians who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.
For us at Club Evans RSL, remembrance is at the very heart of who we are. Our club stands as a gathering place for veterans, families, and community. A place where the spirit of mateship, resilience, and respect continues to thrive. We are proud to carry forward the RSL’s enduring mission: to honour the fallen, support those who serve, and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.
As we bow our heads today, may we also raise our hearts in gratitude, in remembrance, and in the quiet promise that we will always remember them.
