Major Pennants off to a flying start ⛳ WGC 3*5 – Monash 3*5 in a thrilling opener – back it up this Sun!

Major Pennants 2026 is off and running!
~~~ Monash 3.5 – WGC 3.5 ~~~

On Sunday our boys travelled to Monash GC to open their compaign. Kurt Rugless lead us out at number 7 and pulled off a strong 4&2 win. After a couple of heavy losses in the middle of our order, Mitch Rugless steadied the ship with a clutch Par up 18 to win 2up. With the match in the balance, and crowd growing, Robbie Lancaster took his match up 18 all squared up. A solid Par was enough to seal another victory. In our #1 match, Jake Hallinan was in a tough fight that could have gone either way – after losing 16 and winning the 17th the match was AS. After his opponent narrowly missed his Birdie putt on 18, Jake had a tricky effort to Win, which came thisss close to dropping 🤏 (see video).

A great start to the season for us and we’ll hope to back it up with a win at home this Sunday, 930am. We’d love to see as many supporters come down as possible #wooloowaregolf #wp

Women’s committee bonded & planned this year’s exciting programme ⛳ Opening Day this Tue!

Our Women’s committee spent a night away to play golf, have fun, but most importantly, to bond and plan for this coming year’s exciting programme of golf.
We look forward to inviting all new and existing members back to our Opening Day this coming Tuesday, to start off, what we believe will be a great year.
