Brian Heywood – our featured artist from this week’s Songwriters Sing Open Mic night at the Sporties!

Brian is an Australian musician who relocated to the UK in the early 1980s and is now based in Australia near Port Macquarie. As well as live performance in roots rock, Americana, folk rock and pop/rock genres, he also composes for live and video and film soundtracks. He also has a lot of experience in live production and studio production / engineering for recordings in a variety of styles as well audio post production and voice overs.

Original Cyn & Co (Cynthia Sleight Meyles) – one of our talented songwriters at Wed Open Mic nights!

Original Cyn & Co – aka Cynthia Sleight Meyles – is one of our talented singer-songwriters who perform at our Songwriters Sing open mic nights on Wednesdays!

Cynthia has been writing songs for five years. Last year Cyn was nominated for the prestigious Rudy Brandsma Award for Songwriting Excellence (Australian Songwriters Association Competition 2024). Cyn performs her originals both solo, as Original Cyn, and also with the Australian Ukulele Orchestra. This year, Cyn recorded her second album of originals, Shades of Grey which is due for release later this year.
